As of end of this summer, five Crimean cities entered Russia’s TOP-10 resorts most popular among independent tourists.

The list is based on data of hotel bookings covering the period between June 1 and August 31, 2015.


In particular, the TOP includes Yalta (4th place), Sevastopol, Sudak, Alushta and Feodosiya (7th through 10th places respectively). The TOP-three cities are Sochi, Anapa and Gelendzhik.

In comparison with summer of 2014, the number of online booking for summer holiday in Crimean resorts has grown by 2.5 times.


The period of Russians’ summer vacation in Crimean resorts averaged 9 days, they spent less than 3 thousand rubles per day for accommodation, and tours around Russian cities averaged 3 days.


So, tourists spent more than 4.5 thousand rubles for accommodation per day in Yalta , 3.4 thousand rubles in Alushta , 2.7 thousand rubles in Feodosiya ,1.5 thousand rubles in Sudak.

As a comparison, the summer vacationers paid 3.4 thousand rubles per day in Sochi for hotel accommodation (8 days on average), 3.3 thousand rubles in Anapa, 3.2 thousand rubles in Gelendzhik, according to Oktogo.ru.

We remind, Yalta, Koktebel, Yevpatoria and Alushta were included in TOP-10 most popular resorts for traveling around Russia during the autumn season.

According to Yandex, demand for Crimean resorts among Russians has increased by 60% YOY.
